Are there any AT&T specific APIs, you would recommend using to integrate into the application

Eg, to obtain programming metadata, or use phone as remote.

  I don't know the specifics of your app, and don't want to influence any direction. Do what feels comfortable to you and helps you or your team. If you find tools like the Video Optimizer or M2X IoT help your team, then great!
